Welcome to the Community Development Division (CDD). CDD is one of three divisions comprising the City of Omaha’s Planning Department. Its primary mission is neighborhood revitalization. Through housing and other community development programs, CDD addresses a variety of quality of life concerns in the City’s older, more distressed neighborhoods. The links located to the left will give you an understanding of CDD programs and processes but should you need more detail, there is contact information provided.

The Forever North Block Party is a neighborhood gathering to connect residents, businesses, and organizations to their neighbors, while providing a vehicle for individual input and ideation. This block party is apart of city planning event to ensure that all members of the community have the opportunity to participate in the planning process to revitalizing the North 24th Street community. Free Food, good music, and community building.

The City of Omaha’s Neighborhood Planning Division is holding open office hours for the Forever North study. Join us during office hours to learn more abut what is going on and share your ideas about the future of housing and transportation along the N. 24th Street Corridor.
