Forever North

A Strategy for Housing and Multimodal Transportation within the N. 24th Street Corridor (Ames Ave to Cuming Street and Highway 75 to 20th Street)

  What's Happening

The City of Omaha and Omaha-Council Bluffs Metropolitan Area Planning Agency (MAPA) coordinated with community members to develop the Forever North Strategy. The effort:

• Built from previous plans and studies, such as the North Omaha Village Revitalization Plan and the Village Square Development Plan.

• Crafted strategies for development and accommodating multiple modes of transportation.

• Thoughtfully considered corridor history and culture.

• Helped increase the corridor’s quality of life and competitive advantage within Omaha.

• Identified Early Action Projects.

• The planning process began in the spring of 2019 and continued through the fall of 2019.
