ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Program Activities Include:
- Supporting housing rehabilitation, new housing development, and public improvements that revitalize neighborhoods and communities to promote healthier economies.
- Encouraging small enterprises, particularly those offering goods and services to neighborhood residents, to locate or remain within crucial neighborhood business districts.
- Working with local businesses, community leaders, and the development community to improve the commercial building stock in neighborhood business districts.
- Encouraging small businesses, emerging small businesses and the expansion of existing businesses in revitalization areas through the Small and Emerging Small Business Program, community partnerships and referrals.
- Helping to create jobs for low-income and moderate-income people through community development efforts.
